Sacha Baron Cohen and Rosamund Pike to Co-Star in New Netflix Movie: All the Details You Need to Know
Sacha Baron Cohen and Rosamund Pike are set to star in Netflix’s romantic-comedy “Ladies First,” directed by Thea Sharrock. The film is based on the French movie “Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile” by Eleonore Pourriat, and follows a womanizer, played by Cohen, navigating a world dominated by women.
Pike will play an opinionated female character who further complicates Cohen’s life. The film will be co-produced by Liza Chasin of 3dot Productions, along with Eleonore Dailly, Edouard de Lachomette, and Four By Two Films. Chasin is also involved in other Netflix projects including “Lonely Plane” starring Laura Dern and “The Life List” starring Sofia Carson.
In his next project, Cohen will star alongside Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline in the Apple TV+ series “Disclaimer” directed by Alfonso Cuarón. He most recently appeared in Netflix’s “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” earning an Oscar nomination for his role. Pike, known for her performances in “Pride and Prejudice” and “Gone Girl,” also recently starred in the controversial series “Saltburn” and has upcoming roles in “Wheel of Time,” “Thumblite,” and “Now You See Me 3.”
Pike is also set to make her National Theater debut in “Inter Alia” by Suzie Miller, known for the legal drama “Prima Facie” that launched Jodie Comer to fame. Comer won both Olivier and Tony Awards for her performance.
