Céline Dion Responds to Kelly Clarkson’s Performance of “My Heart Will Go On”
Céline Dion is showing support for Kelly Clarkson.
Following her cover of Céline’s iconic song “My Heart Will Go On” on the Sept. 27 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Canadian singer praised the talk show host for her rendition of the Oscar-winning tune from Titanic.
“You were absolutely incredible,” Céline raved in a video posted on Instagram on Oct. 8. “Fantastic. I loved it so much.”
After the performance, Kelly, 42, revealed that she only took on the powerful ballad because Titanic star Kate Winslet was a guest on the show that day. She shared with her audience, “Usually I would never cover that song, because there’s some songs you don’t want to go near as a vocalist.”
In her social media post, the “Because You Loved Me” singer—who made a comeback at the 2024 Olympics despite battling stiff-person syndrome—expressed how touched she was by Kelly’s emotional response to her rendition of Édith Piaf‘s “Hymne À L’Amour.”
