During an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, she shared that many people wanted their brothers to marry her character.
When asked if she received more offers for bhabhi roles or marriage proposals after the film’s success, Renuka humorously replied that everyone wanted their brother to marry her. Kapil Sharma praised her portrayal of Pooja in the film, stating that she set the standard for how people expect a bhabhi to be.
Renuka shared her experience of filming a memorable scene in Hum Aapke Hain Koun, where her character suffers a fatal injury from falling down the stairs. She revealed that the director had taken precautions to ensure her safety, including using a sponge staircase.
In a previous interview, Renuka expressed feeling “trapped” in the image of Pooja bhabhi, as people often expected her to behave like her on-screen character in real life. She emphasized that she is a multifaceted person with a range of emotions, unlike the perfect bhabhi persona.
