Actress Priyanka Chopra captured the audience’s hearts with her role as Nadia Sinh in the Russo Brothers’ spy thriller Citadel. Anthony Russo, while praising her ‘magnetic’ presence as a performer, described her as ‘one of the most compelling actors to watch’!
During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Russo shared his thoughts on Priyanka, stating, “As a performer, she exudes a powerful aura; she is magnetic. She is the kind of person who captivates viewers. In a show like this, where she holds a lot back, she still manages to convey a story.”
The first season of Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra, premiered on Prime Video in 2023. The series follows an intelligence agency that has been taken down by a syndicate, and the agents who are called back to stop the syndicate from gaining more power.
In Season 2, Priyanka will reprise her role as Nadia Sinh, alongside her co-star Richard Madden, who plays Mason Kane/Kyle Conroy. The cast also includes Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville, Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Møller, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Moira Kelly.
Details about the plot of Season 2 are being kept under wraps. The first season ended with many unanswered questions.
Aside from Season 2, the Citadel spy universe will expand with the release of Citadel: Diana on October 10, 2024, and Citadel: Honey Bunny on November 7, 2024. Directed by Raj & DK, Citadel: Honey Bunny features Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles.
In her professional life, Priyanka has wrapped up filming for two Hollywood movies this year, Heads of State and The Bluff. She is also gearing up for the premiere of her Marathi production, Paani, scheduled to release in theaters on October 18, 2024.
