Will Smith Discusses Discovering “Authenticity” Following Years of “Soul Searching”
Will Smith has discovered a new perspective.
The Academy Award winner recently shared his journey of self-improvement over the past few years and where it has led him.
“In the last couple of years, I’ve been diving deep into soul searching more than ever before,” Will expressed at his An Evening with Will Smith event in Los Angeles on Oct. 3, according to People. “And I’ve discovered a new source of inspiration.”
The 56-year-old, father to kids Jaden Smith, 26, and Willow Smith, 23, with wife Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as son Trey Smith, 31, with ex Sheree Zampino, explained that he may have unlocked the most authentic version of himself yet.
“I’m tapping into a well of authenticity, striving for the most genuine and truthful expression of myself,” Will—who made headlines in 2022 after slapping Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars—shared. “And what’s emerging is something completely different from anything I’ve done in the past.”
