Week 1 box office collection of Devra Hindi: Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan’s movie earns Rs 43 crore in the absence of Bollywood releases
Devara Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, has performed well at the Hindi box office. The sea-adventure drama directed by Koratala Siva ended its first week with an impressive Rs 43 crore in Hindi. The movie is expected to have a good second week, especially with upcoming festivals.
Devara Inches Closer To Rs 45 Crore In Hindi; Showing Good Hold
After opening at Rs 7.50 crore in Hindi, Devara saw an increase in collections over the weekend, reaching Rs 26.5 crore by the end of the first weekend. Although there was a drop on Monday, the movie’s performance improved in the following days, leading to a total collection of Rs 43 crore by the end of the first week.
The movie has also crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide in its first week.
Devara Acts As A Good Filler Amidst No Bollywood Releases
Devara performed well in non-national chains and single screens in the North belt, showcasing Jr NTR’s popularity among the masses. Despite no Bollywood releases, the movie has been able to maintain a strong hold at the box office, thanks to poor calendar planning in the Hindi film industry.
While the movie performed best in Telugu and Hindi, its performance in Tamil and Malayalam versions was below expectations. Internationally, it struggled to attract a significant audience.
Devara is expected to continue its success in the second week, especially during Navratri and Dussehra. The real test will come in the third weekend with new releases.
