BUZZ: Will Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3 be released directly on OTT after underwhelming response to Indian 2?

Potential Release of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3 on OTT following Disappointing Reception of Indian 2

Kamal Haasan and director Shankar have collaborated again after many years for the recent release of Indian 2: Zero Tolerance. There are talks that the sequel, Indian 3: War Mode, may skip a theatrical release and head straight to OTT platforms.

According to a report by Valai Pechu, discussions are ongoing between the makers of the film and OTT platforms for a direct online release. This decision may have been influenced by the lukewarm response Indian 2 received in theaters.

However, there has been no official response from the film’s production team regarding these rumors, leaving the release strategy in limbo. Indian 2 was a follow-up to the 1996 movie Indian, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar.

The storyline of the 2024 movie sees Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy, a vigilante hero battling corruption and injustice. The plot kicks off with a group of social media influencers led by Chitra Aravindhan speaking out against societal issues.

As Senapathy returns to India, he takes matters into his own hands by eliminating corrupt individuals and encouraging youth to stand up against corruption by exposing their own family members involved in illegal activities.

The narrative intensifies into a thrilling chase between the vigilante and law enforcement, ending with Senapathy eluding capture and promising to continue his crusade against corruption.
