Mukesh Khanna suggests that Ranveer Singh appears untrustworthy and may deceive others; explains why he is unsuitable for the role of Shaktimaan.
Ranveer Singh has portrayed a variety of roles throughout his acting career. He has played roles ranging from a boy next door to a lover boy and even a dynamic historical leader. The actor also made headlines for a controversial nude photoshoot for a magazine. While some admired his bravery, others questioned his decision. Senior actor Mukesh Khanna expressed his aversion to casting Singh in roles, citing the photoshoot as a reason.
In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Mukesh Khanna revealed that Ranveer Singh tried to convince him for three hours to let him play the iconic character of Shaktimaan. However, Khanna felt that Singh did not have the required qualities to portray the character effectively. Despite acknowledging Singh’s talent, Khanna mentioned his reservations due to the photoshoot incident.
Khan further explained that praising Singh led to rumors of him being finalized for the role of Shaktimaan. However, Khanna clarified through a video that no decision had been made, and an official announcement would be made in due time.
While Ranveer is currently focused on his family, taking care of his wife Deepika Padukone and their newborn daughter, he is also preparing for his upcoming project. He will be starring in Rohit Shetty’s action-packed film, Singham Again, scheduled for release this Diwali in theaters.
