Actress Ananya Panday responds to comparisons with Alia Bhatt: ‘I don’t think I can match up to her…’

Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is gaining recognition for her career choices and is on her way to becoming a prominent actress in Bollywood. Social media has been drawing comparisons between Panday and Bhatt. In a recent interview, Panday shared her thoughts on the matter.
Ananya Panday and director Vikramaditya Motwane were interviewed by Filmygyan about their upcoming film, CTRL, set to release on Netflix on October 4, 2024. During the interview, a fan comment stating, “Ananya Panday is the upcoming Alia Bhatt for sure,” was brought up. When asked about this, Panday replied with a “No.” She went on to say, “I think Alia is exceptional. It’s a great compliment that people see me that way, but I don’t believe I can achieve what Alia has.”
In a previous interview with News 18, Motwane defended Panday against the criticism of being a ‘nepo kid’ and having an easy route in the industry. He emphasized the importance of talent, hard work, and showing potential onscreen for success. Motwane praised Panday for her efforts and strengths, highlighting that generalizations about actors are often inaccurate.
Panday and Motwane’s upcoming movie, CTRL, also features Vihaan Samat in a significant role. Panday discussed her character in the film, portraying a world heavily influenced by technology and social media. CTRL explores the fine line between online personas and real-life identities.
