Janelle grumbled about the family’s struggles to pay off Coyote Pass, mentioning that Kody mentioned having “all these other debts.” She noted, however, that she had seen him acquiring other assets such as trailers and home decorations. Observing the art displayed on Robyn and Kody’s walls, she remarked, “I see all these things. And that’s fine, I have money and I’ve spent it on things, too.” Kody explained that a significant portion of his money went towards buying cars and insurance for the kids.
Janelle mentioned that she wasn’t sure about how Kody and Robyn managed their finances, but she mentioned being surprised at how nicely Robyn’s backyard was maintained, with the house always well-furnished. This led her to feel that her needs and wants were not being prioritized, a sentiment that was shared by her children who were growing increasingly frustrated.
Robyn, on the other hand, revealed that she was very cautious with her finances following her first marriage ending. “I used to be not so great with money,” she admitted, “When I was young, I had hard knocks, and then I learned during my divorce really how to budget myself very, very well.” She suggested that each sister wife had different priorities when it came to spending their money.
