According to Wofford’s statement to NBC News, Chigvintsev was arrested in Yountville, California, but the exact location was not disclosed to protect the alleged victim’s privacy.
As a result of the victim’s request for privacy, the Sheriff’s office has withheld information such as the name, gender, age, and relationship of the victim to Chigvintsev. However, Wofford did provide details about the arrest.
“When someone is charged with felony domestic violence, it typically indicates there is visible injury or a credible eyewitness,” he informed E! News. “Our deputies made the decision to arrest him on felony charges based on the evidence available at the time.”
