Singer Taylor Swift Gifts Special Present to 9-Year-Old Cancer Patient and Superfan
From a young age, Taylor Swift had a passion for music which she turned into a successful brand. With twelve studio albums and six tours under her belt, her latest tour, The Eras Tour, captivated audiences worldwide in 2023 and 2024. Taking fans on a journey through her life and career, Swift, who currently holds 14 Grammy Awards, reached new heights. While many attended her concerts, only a select few were able to walk away with the sought-after fedora from her performance of “22.” One of those lucky fans happened to be a young girl battling cancer.
Scarlett, a 9-year-old girl fighting a terminal form of brain cancer, had a dream of seeing Taylor Swift in concert. Her stepmother, Natalie, reached out to the Make-A-Wish foundation to make Scarlett’s dream a reality. Despite their initial efforts falling short of meeting Swift in person, Swifties worldwide banded together on social media to ensure Scarlett made it to the concert. Grateful for the support, Natalie expressed her desire for Scarlett to receive the “22” hat from Taylor, as she believed Scarlett deserved all the happiness in the world.
On the night of the concert, Scarlett held up a sign asking Taylor for the “22” hat, not knowing what to expect. To her surprise, she found herself mere inches away from Swift, who fulfilled her dream by giving her the coveted fedora. The heartwarming moment was captured on video and went viral.

Not The First Swiftie To Go Viral Over Taylor Swift
While Swift switches up her concert setlists, it has become a tradition for her to give out the fedora during her performance of “22” from her album Red. Currently touring in Australia, Swift will soon head to Singapore as she continues to dominate the music industry.

Another fan, Madison Blackband, also went viral after a video of her emotional reaction to Swift’s performance of “Exile” circulated online. Addressing the criticism she faced, Blackband stated, “That’s just me. I’m just a passionate person. The opinion of people thinking that it’s embarrassing and stuff doesn’t mean anything to me because I never thought it was and I’m not going to think it is now just because someone says I should. I understand why people are laughing at it. I laughed at the video myself once I first watched it back.”
